I just contacted the Security Division. I talked to a gentleman about this situation. I asked about the YMMSS situation. He told me he would send me a complaint form to fill out. I told him I already had contacted the Indiana Attorney General and he had already turned all my information over to them. He asid he didn't have a record of it and didn't know what happened or anything about this scam. I asked for Paul Lawson but he just blew it away and said a complaint form would be sent, and be sure to send copy received from Attorney General. If this is how all complaints are handled ,no wonder nothing is resolved!! I hope someone else has better Luck than I did!

What is the current news with YMMSS/STA and the best action for recovery of any funds? What happened to Mike Hamilton, Esto, New Horizons, etc?

I am one that can't log into anything now and the help desk routes you back to the first screen.

Was there any mention in Indiana papers? What a shame for everyone involved.

When Kim was in our town, I heard him say that as they changed the structure, he expected only a few people to get really rich. Those words were so honest and they echo in my mind! Too bad I didn't act on the red flag then. There were heavy investors in our part of the country. I know someone that lost over $300K, lots of other big numbers. YMMSS has changed lives, caused the divorce of more than just Kim and his wife, some people that I know that had high hopes with YMMSS.

Really sorry ! me too, and lost my house so we now live in a hovel , very uncomfortable and mentally painful. You would think our GOVERNMENT law enforcement would be far more active getting / indicting the crooks and protecting the investors / victims. hi all, I was scammed by STA or should I say " money machine" ymmss - I lose over 5,000. I learned never to invest online again.

What do you do when you receieved the 1099's? I just received one for 2006 and I never received one cent from YMMSS/STA. How do you ecplain this to the IRS?

I have to be honest. As far as YMS/STA itself goes. I got lucky and did not loose any money per say that I gave them. But, because I counted on the income promised to me I feel very ripped off. I also wonder if Mike from IntGold and the folks at StormPay are/were involved.

My financial woes come from "loss of projected income" I counted on that money and went on big spending sprees. Now, I had to file bankruptcy. I have no paperwork I saved. I just wish there was some manner I could get the income promised to me.

I called Internal Revenue Service today - 1-800-829-1040, waited less than 5 minutes for an agent to help me. I explained the situation with STA and she said first to contact STA and find out why they sent this and why we can't get our money, I told her I had done all that (keep all your notes, etc. that you have on any correspondence with STA- I had sent them Help Tickets when I was terminating my account back in December and I copied all of that)........ she said to call back on February 15th (IMPORTANT), that is the earliest date IRS can intervene on 1099's, they will send a complaint letter to STA. You will need the name & address of STA, etc. and after IRS mails the letter to them they have 10 days to respond. I believe the IRS letter will explain what you say and request them to explain their reasons for sending the 1099 or for them to cancel the 1099. At the time IRS sends the letter to STA, they will also send us information to let us know how to go about filing our tax return.

Now the next IMPORTANT thing to do is to file either Form 3949A Information Referral (Fraud Report) or send them a letter. You can call 1-800-829-0433 which is the self-service Fraud Hotline for the new procedure (filing the fraud but I am listing all that info here to save you a phone call) which is as I said - 3949A or letter. IRS website has a downloadable form and the instructions shows where to mail it - Internal Revenue Service, Fresno, CA 93888. Or if you can't download the form you can request it on the order numer for forms 1-800-829-3676. Or write them a detailed letter. See below on how to get the 3949A form please.

After you file the fraud report, you may never hear anything from them or it may be a long time, as once they start the investigation they have to be confidential.

But these are things we must do to stop this type of scam. I asked the Internal Revenue Service agent if this could be thought to be income to us and she said no, not if we did not receive the money and do not have a way to get it.
