From: Barbara Eklund (bgbjeklund@verizon.net, )
Area of law: (Not sure which area)
Country: United States of America
State: Washington

My Mom has died. I am the designated (via will) as the executor of her
estate. The estate involves no property (no car) , no real estate, --one
small life insurance policy and modest investments with 2 companies who
have requested a certificated death certificate only to disperse funds to
the two beneficiaries. Beneficiaries include myself and my only sibling. I
intend to file the will with the clerk of courts at Snohomish Co Court in
Everett. I believe that this is all that I need to do to meet the
requirements of the state of Washington. Is this accurate? (P. S. there are
NO creditors.)

Respecfully submitted, Barbara Eklund

Default Re: question about parent's estate procedure

That may be it yes.

but when you contact the local court ask for the instructions and forms and review that to see what if anything may apply as well.

Almost all courts have easy to follow helpful instructions you can use
