Big Grin Mother's Death: 2/2002 - Stepfather hasnt shown, or executed her Will.

My Mom passed away Feb. 2002 in FL. My stepfather(not leagally adopted) had her body flown back to NJ for burial. To date, my stepdad has not shown her 4 children the contents of her Will. Six months after my Mothers death, my stepdad remarried.

Is there anyway of locating a copy of her Will???. Witnessess to, and the Attorney used to draw/file My Mother's Will are not know to any of the four Siblings. My Sister believes she may have been named as Executriss.

Prior to her death, my Mother told me that "All 4 Children have been equally taken care of, as per her Last Will and Testament. And a list was given to my Stepdad, listing the special gifts she had selected for each child to receive upon her death. To date, my Stepdad has not shown us the will, nor do we know what special items were left to each of us!
l
In the State of Florida, if we find that my Mother's Will was not Leagally Drawn or that a Writen Will does not exist, are we four children entitled to any portion of her estate?, and how do we find what the Estate should contain? Over the past few years, my Stepdad has gradually removed my Mothers name off of any joint bank accts, has relocated several accts into different Banks, and has had my Mother's name removed, as being an owner, on the deed to the house.
Prior to her marriage to my Stepdad, my mother was left sole heir to my fathers Estate in 1974, and also appointted as theGaurdian, to the monies he left each child in a Trust.

So, It may be possible that her Estate could contain assets remaing from my Father's Eastate!,

Contact all lawyers and insurance folks that she had any contact with. And do a thorough review of all belongings. Ask her bankers as well if they have the will. We had the same problem last year. Good luck!
