My uncle wrote out a will leaving my mother his house and a certain amount of money in the case of his death. He worked with an attorney and all. Well he passed away before his wife and automatically she gets it all. Well my aunt was in a nursing home because he could not longer care for her when he was alive. She also had ahlzeimers for at least five years. She then as soon as my uncle passed away his step daughters took over and did not follow my uncles wishes. He did not want his stepdaughters to get nothing at all. They did not help with the care or even visit thier mother only when they wanted money. Well my aunt passed shortly after my uncle did. So where does this leave my mother. Was it not the attorney's responsability to tell my uncle what if he happned to pass away before his wife and that his stepdaughters would get all his assets. It has been less than a year since this all happened. I just think these ladies and the attorney did my uncle wrong. Please let me know if there is anything I can do about this.

You may want to meet with the lawyer involved and review the will, and see what really was stated and intended. The will itself may answer some of this.
If need be you could sue but it is hard to overturn a validly executed will, even if it contains errors. |
