Confused Inheritance woes

My father passed away last year with no known will. He was married 38 yrs with 4 kids. Together they owned 3 houses on 2 properties in AR, and 1 house in TX. I signed a waiver of some sort (possibly just a waiver of notification) to my dad's estate so the houses could be sold by my mother who was in financial trouble. A few weeks ago, his aunt died and he and his deceased mother (he was an only child) were named in the will. Does that money belong to my dad's estate or does it go outright to my mother? If it belongs to his estate have I signed away any rights to that money also?

That really depends how the will was structured; you need to see the will. It may not even go to him at all if he has deceased.

She was notified by the executor of the will of my grandmother's and father's inheritance. My grandmother's portion because i'm sure the executor was aware of her death. And I must assume they are aware of my father's death, seeing as I believe it was my mother who received the registered letter. I am doubtful however that my father's portion also named my mother because she was not well thought of. Assuming this is the case, does the money then go to my father's estate and his children split 2/3 of the amount amongst them?

Confused Re: Inheritance woes

My husband's mother passed away with a will 9 months ago.Her will stated that all her assets should be divided equally between her 5 children. The executor of the estate, one of the 5 siblings, has taken all the deceased's bank accounts,CD's because she says her name and the deceased's name were on all and they are now hers. Can the will which states that all assets be shared equally apply to these accounts? My husband's mother was under the impression that her daughter needed her name on the accounts to better manage them during her illnesses.

The will should govern those accounts yes. But if the accounts were set up that they are hers after death of the other account holder, then that is proper -- ask the bank how the accounts were set up.
