if a spouse receives something left to them from a third party will is that specific item/money/property considered community property... does it belong to the named individual or to both husband/wife... if in the case of money the gift is left as an annuity to be paid each year does that mean both husband/wife are entitled to half in the case of a divorce... in case it makes a difference the will would be filed in the state of virginia... thanks for any help you can offer...
