Probate - Creditors
My father passed away 9 months ago. He has no estate, no assets what so every. Everything that he had was sold in order to pay for medical bills to keep him alive and to place him in a nursing home. I got a letter from a creditor saying that the estate owes 11K. I knew nothing aobut this debt. I found that that my father helped my daughter buy a car 4 years ago. I thought the car was in my daughters name also, but it was only in my fathers. The car in question has been repoed and now the creditor wants the estate to pay the balance. Is this possible, when there is nothing in the estate. I don't have the money to pay for this. Any advice would be helpful.

If there are no assets the creditors do not get paid--your local court has forms you can send to notify creditors
