Who Pays for The Funeral?

When somebody dies, do funeral expenses come out of the person's estate? Isn't this the same as saying coming out of the inheritance money that person had? In the event somebody dies having no money or assets, does the family pay for the funeral?

If the decedent died with no money, then, proper etiquette would dictate family members would at least pay for proper burial, yes.

Inheritance money and estate money are two separate things. The decedent may have set aside a certain amount specifically for the purpose of burial expenses. That money is not to be spent or 'inherited' by anyone.
