Red Face Appointing an Attorney as Exectuor of a Will

Can I name my attorney as executor of my will even though I don't have a personal relationship with him? Many in my family have died and the others I just don't trust. My favorite charities (non-profit) are my hiers; some are even listed as payable on death on my bank accounts. Some of my money, but not all, will go to my remaining family members.

Yes, you can list your attorney. Be sure to have 2 backup choices, however, and don't simply file the Will at your attorney's office. Keep the original in a safe place at home. If your attorney should die before you, or close up shop and move away, there would be no way of knowing you even had a Will.
