Default can I place a lien against an estate

My sisters partner died without a will in New York City. His sister is administering the estate and appears to be geared up to get every penny she can. My father paid for the funeral and wants to be reimbursed. Can we file a lein against the estate, and how do you do that?

You can file a case against the estate and the executor. You may file in small claims or in regular court depending on the amounts involved.
