Question Revoked will

My mother revoked her will by writing "I revoke this will" she signed and dated it. This was done in 2002. She did not have it witnessed, was this legal or not? She did not feel her estate warranted having to be put through probate. This is in Texas.

Default

She needs to have a lawyer review the revocation to see if it was done correctly--cost is minimal. Failed revocations are common in Texas. Normally she has to revoke it in a writing and basically destroy the will.
