Can somebody forge my name on my bank account after I die?
Is it possible for somebody to forge my name on my bank account after I die and BEFORE my death hits the newspaper? Can somebody pose as me, use my drivers license and remove the payable on death that I assigned to the account so the money would go to that person? Could somebody pull this off without the bank, coroner's office, police, etc. knowing? When it comes to money, people will try about anything, even breaking the law.
