Default Mom's assest

I live in Ohio. My sister lives with my mom. My mom has a will that everything is to be divided 4 ways between my sisters. My question is does my sister get to live in my mom's house til probate is done and what can I do about it. I am afraid she will take my mom things and hide them so we cant divide them.

Default Re: Mom's assest

My condolences on your loss. If your mom's home was your sister's legal residence -- or if the will so provides -- she can reside therein. Otherwise, she has no firm legal right to do so. Truthfully, you need to speak with a probate attorney as soon as possible. WLD has lawyers who practice in this area if you go to their main page. Take care. AJJ

Default probate question about mom's assests

I live in Ohio. My sister lives with my mom. My mom has a will that everything is to be divided 4 ways between my sisters. My question is does my sister get to live in my mom's house when my mom passes and til probate is done and what can I do about it. I am afraid she will take my mom things and hide them so we cant divide them. My sister has lived with my mom for 2 years but the house and its contents are to be equally divided among the four of us. My mom has not passed as of yet. I am wanting to know what to do for when she does pass.
