No Interest In Ownership of Inherited House
My grandmother recently passed away.
She left only a house to us four grand children, divided equally among us. I have no interest in owning this home. Can I legally asked them to buy my share out? What if they don't want to do this? What options do I have? |

If two or more owners cannot agree on what to do with a piece of property they may petition the court and the court will order a sale or refinancing etc. so that the one or more may get out of the property obligation and/or the other(s) may keep it etc.--it is often done-- WLD can assist if need be.

Who would I contact at WLD and what are the estimated cost for filing such a petition?
Also, can the opposing parties counter file to stop it? I mean, no one can force you into ownership of property if you don't want it correct? |
