Can I cut my son in law out of my will even though he is, and has been, married to my daughter for 15 years?
He's a dirt bag, and she aknowledges she's only with him for the kids right now. Will the money just become "common property" regardless if I try to cut him out? We live in Oregon. Uni |

You certainly can cut him out.
Whatever she gets is her separate property. |

Well, that is good news, and it sounds so simple, but is it?
I mean, they have a combined debt, somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 to 50 K. If they separated now, she'd be paying palimony and child support. How is the money from my estate, only about 50k, going to be kept out of all that if she gets it? Uni |
