My mother died almost six years ago and left her house, everything in it and a sizable portion of land to her five children. Since then, the will was never settled since no one can agree on the division of property. However, one of my siblings has been going in the house and basically taking everything that isn't nailed down. And now he has stepped it up and decided that if he can't live in the house, no one will be able to, so he has started essentially making it uninhabitable. This week he dug up the well and septic system and filled the pipes with cement.
The police say that there is nothing that they can do because the property is partially willed to him. Is this for real?! Are the police out of their minds or can he legally do this? |
