Hello,
I need to make a will & have been considering DIY will due to pressure of finances My husband and I have a bungalow worth about £200,000 We bought it 2 years ago and were asked by our Conveyancing Solicitor if we wanted Joint Tenants or Joint owners I think it was. Basically we want to own 50% each so that none of our children get left out. My question is...I have some personal dept which I am paying off. Currently still at £24,000. [This is covered by life insurance] Can I write into my will that this money is for my depts? My husband is a compulsive gambler and I am concerned that he may get the money and then lose it before the dept is paid. This will mean he will be forced to sell our home to cover my dept. Thankyou for any advice Annie |
