My father in law just passed away recently at a veterans hospital. He was in a coma for 6 1/2 years before he passed. The home he was staying in didn't tell us about the Will and bank accounts he had in my wife and his name. We found that out through his brother who we notified about the funeral we planned. What I would like to know is what actions should we take to assure that all the information on the accounts and will are given to us. We know for a fact that the accounts and will exist because the social worker told his brother that every account was in her name and her name was the only name on the will.

Have a lawyer review all records and documents and issue subpoenas for information if need be.
