My mom just died recently and she racked up alot of hospital bills in the
process.she had a house that she left to me in a trust is it possible that
the hospital could put a lean on the house for the unpaid hospital bills and
if so how do i go about preventing them from doing that.Is it possible to
get the debt wriiten off she only made 16k a year

her estate has to try to pay the bills if possible

often the hospitals will negotiate with you

--in some states they could place a lien if amounts are owed ndn when you sell, they would have to be paid
