law sucks

I am a woman whoms partner died last year at the age of 37 and had no will and a leagle wife with 3 children and then myself who was living with my partner and we had at the time of death 10 month old twins. I just want to know why the leagal service protects the phsco ex wife and not the partner and the person that the decieced loved at the time of his death.She is getting everything and I mean everything I et nothing cause I wasnt married to him we have the froms for the devorse signed and everything ready for sending then he dies before we get to send them and that means **** she still gets everything we would have been married by september this year if he had lived long enough and she not only gets to keep the house that they both bought and she lives in wich is worth about 280000 dollars and the family car and all furnature but she also gets to sell other house our house and gets to keep about hlf value of that too and the rest goes th the kids what a joke this leagal system is. that is all I have to say Mick and her had a agreeent verbally that he got the old house worth about 120000 dollars and she kept the new house worth about 280000 and the new car and all furniture so we had old furniture old house and beat up car she had all good stuff and gets all our other stuff to I sold my home to put into doing up our home and get nothing doesnt seem right.
