Default executor

My Wifes grandmother passed on Saturday. Her name is Esta Bawol she turned 90 on Monday. My mother in law is flying in Monday or Tuesday my wife is departing from here in Italy tomorrow. Concerned that he had POA but since deceased its no longer good? He also stated he is the exectuture of the will and my mother in law has always been. How can I get something in place for 1st thing Monday beginning of business hours since my mother in law an wife will be in route.

The will should provide who is the executor and nothing can happen until that person is notified and ready to act.
