death of mom in virginia
My mom died suddenly. she had $1400 in a checking account. She rented an apartment and they are harassing me for the rent. Do I have to pay them?
I don't think I need to probate her assets but how do I find out? If I contact a lawyer they will charge me and there isn't enough money to pay them. |

Her estate needs to pay past due bills if the estate has any assets.
Otherwise you need not pay. |
