Default Must you be notified?

In January of 2007 a dear friend of 38 years passed away. This man gave me my first real job, and treated me as if I were family. Through all the years we remained close friends and confidents. He always told me that he appreciated that I was always their to help him in any way ,but would never ask for or accept any compensation. It was ad is my feeling that that is what friends do. Several years ago he ask me to supply him with my SSN and some other information because he wanted to show his appreciation for me and our frienship after his passing. In a conversation less than a week before his passing and he knew the end was near he thanked me for being his best friend over the years and told me that i would be rewarded. He asked me to help carry him to his final resting place, which I did.

As time has passed I have not heard anything regarding the will. My friends 2nd wife was the administrator of the will, and has never mentioned anything in the conversations we have had since his passing. Also I have never inquired, as I didn't want to sound like a greedy jerk. I guess it is just difficult for me to accept that my friend my have been less than truthfull and that I would feel much better about the whole situtation if there were a possiblity that I was simply cheated out of any inheritance by family.

Big Grin Re: Must you be notified?

he may have you left you something through his wife when she dies you get this item or she can live in the house till her death then you get it. YOu would do best to ask her if he did leave you anything in his will as he told you before he died. Write a letter or get a lawyer to write that letter so she has to reply. Not to be mean just want clairification. lavisa
