Confused will's for others but I'm the child

My father has written in his will that everything will go to his brother. Since I am my father's child, I am an adult, can I sue for my share? We are in NY. There is the matter of a house that will be willed to my uncle and I don't like that. He can have everything else but I want my share of the house.
