HI, ME & MY SPOUSE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BUYING A HOME WERE BOTH GOING TO BE IN THE DEED, MY QUESTION IS, IF ONE OF OF DIES OR WE GET A DIVORCE ,DO HIS KIDS AGE 21& 20 FROM HIS PREVIEWS MARRIAGE, GET PART OF THE ESTATE OR WILL IT REMAINS ONLY MINES. What are the laws in california. |

If you are both on the deed and one person dies as long as the deed is joint tentants then it automatically goes into the survivors name. It is never put in an estate.
My finace just passed away 5 weeks ago and we had joint time shares and they are not being considered in the estate. |
