Exclamation Mother-In-Law Troubles!

My mother-in-law got married about 3 years ago to my father-in-law. He had a will drawn up about a year before he ever met my mother-in-law that stated everything he owned was to go to his daughter. He never owned the house or any of the cars they have now when he drew up the will. He recently passed away and now his daughter is trying to take everything to include some of the items that belong to my mother-in-law prior to the marriage. Does the will hold up even though it was drawn up before the marriage and what rights does my mother-in-law have right now?

Default Re: Mother-In-Law Troubles!

Most states have an elective share for a spouse to elect against if better than what the spouse gets under the terms of the will. The will is not invalid b/c he got married.
