When you want to grant someone Medical Power of Attorney, is there anything they need to do? Do they need to be present when you sign paper work and do they need to sign any paper work?
Also, when you have a Living Will that, for instance, states that you don't want to be kept on life support you are in an incurable or irreversible condition from which you would die without life support, and your doctors are aware of your wishes, will they still consult the person who has power of attorney before taking you off life support? Thank you. |

Also, I was looking over a sample Durable Power of Attorney form and it didn't mention anything about the Agents right to make medical decisions on your behalf. If you grant someone Durable Power of Attorney, do you still need to grant them Medical Power of Attorney as well?
Thank you! |
