Default EXECUTOR FRAUD

My friends mother passed in 2007. It appears that the will has been altered making the son executor and two other siblings sole beneficiaries. A codicill was brought in on her death bed and marked with a faint X giving them the executor position. the dates on the will are different. the mother leaves most of her possesions to a brother who was deceased at the alleged making of the will. The lawyer supposedly brought in the codicill and had it signed or x'd with an unknown witness. there is 30 acres of prime land involved and many possesions, bank accounts, and other items involved. The executor is removing items by the truck load and after a year has produced no inventory. he has made some very expensive purchase which are questionable. what do we do? Are we, as heirs allowed to inspect the property? We also believe that the mother was possibly murdered by the daughter as she would,nt let anyone near her the night before she died. Mother was doing well and then all of a sudden gone. We can't get a copy of the death certificate. any suggestions. thanks

You can inspect and can demand an examination of the will and all accounts, documents etc.

If you suspect fraud you may file in court and demand a full examination by the court. It is often done.

Can we just show up at the property or do we need authorization from the judge. Hostilities are high as they expected her to sign the will

I am the executor of my uncles estate in SC. His deceased wife is the primary heir to his estate. The wife died without a will. I suspect fraud in the wifes intestate estate and the heirs are lying about their relationship to the wife. Would I be considered an interested party giving me the right on the wifes behalf to file an action against the heirs to her estate putting the court on notice of the fraud before I turn over property from my uncles estate to the wifes estate?
