Default Ontario Canada ,assault with weapon and property damage.

In Ontario Canada, someone threw something at my vehicle which smashed the window into my 12 year old daughters head he is charged with assault with a weapon and property damage to the vehicle.
He did not deny it when arrested so I figured he would plead guilty and get it over with but so far he has put off pleading three times now, how long can he continue to put this off ?
