UPCS charge
What is the difference between a UPCSw/intent charge and a UNL POSS IMITATION CONTRL SUBST W/INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE charge? My boyfriend was originaly charged with the first one and now last week they changed it to the second charge. PLease help, What is the difference and what is the diffenece in jail time?

It may be there were no real drugs etc. But you should and can call the DA involved and ask what actual charges have been filed and what the penalty range is for such charges. Make sure your boyfriend retains counsel asap to help decide what to do, whether to try to negotiate, etc.
