Appearance "Denied" in District Court -- Can they do this?
I just started proceedings on criminal charges (felony & misd.) and met w/the public defender. Next week is my omnibus hearing and I was told that I could NOT attend.
Is this legal? Can they do this? I know in one of the judges courtroom you have to be present for the omnibus OR sign off on a waiver? But in this judges courtroom I'm told that I CAN'T attend my omnibus. What gives? What recourse do I have? |

Call the clerk of the court to see what they say is happening.
