leaving scene of property damage

i hope i posting in the right place

Ok heres my problem, i got pulled over by massachusetts state polce and was informed i had
warrant for leaving the scene of property damage,but it was from 1984 (23 years ago) which
i lived in texas then, i know nothing about this, i went into court to find
out, they were going to dismiss it if i paid $300 which i refused because i
didnt do anything so now its going to trial, i did have the warrant printout
from state police given to me and they had no record of license number or
anything else all there was was a old addresss none of the local police had
it in the system, i had myself run,i have no idea how to prove i lived there
i contacted tx police because i knew i got a ticket while in that time frame
there but they said system dont go that far back,do i have the right to get
copies of all the charges, police report, ect myself? im in a situation that
i just dont know whether ill be in trouble for something i didnt do
what legal leg to i have to stand on or am i in a no win situation,

Call the DA and ask for the records, errors are made all the time.
