Default child fondeling case continued for 5 years.

I need advice I'm not going to go into alot of details, It would take all day. This man was charged and indicted for fondeling my daughter. she was 10 at the time and says that he gave her and my niece alchohol at the time. The problem is that every time we get a summons for court we call the day before to find out the status of the case and for five years we have been told that it has been continued for one reason or another. For instance there was an older drug trial that has been put ahead of us or one of the witnesses has to go to a conference or this last time it was that the defending attorney has to go out of town. This is an emotional rollercoaster for me and my family. We have to buy new cloths for four of us , make preperations at work and school and have had to reschedule serious medical care and appointments. Is there anything we can do about this. I've been told there is not a statue of limitations on this case and it could go on forever. I have had to seek therapy for me and my daughter due to the delays. I'm sure this man and his attorney are trying to postpone it as long as possible. meanwhile he could be harming another child. please help I will have no peace until this man is brought to justice. As it is me and my daughter have no faith in our legal system.

Meet with the DA and express your concerns firmly.

It will have an effect normally.

I have expressed my concerns very strongly to the DA on several occasions.
I have even threatened to get an outside attorney even though I don't know what good that would do. I have another court date set for Nov. 14th. This will make about the eighth time in four years maybe even tenth time, I'm not sure I've lost count. Anymore sugestions will be appreciated.

What does the DA say?

You can also file a motion with the judge to expedite or to seek an end to any further delay requests.
