Default Shoplifting 15 years ago

I am a foreign national who shoplifted at Dillards in Texas 15 years ago (under $100 dollars).
I got caught and got arrested. Went to jail and immediately paid $500 bail.
What was supposed to happen next? What may be in line for me today?
The reason for asking is because it appears my fingerprints and photo appear in a database as I went to renew my visitor visa, and have been advised that I am under investigation, with approval of visitor's visa pending.
What should I do?, what do I expect?
Please advice, I am very nervous!!!

Thanks

There should have been a court hearing or dismissal.

You could call the DA and check the status, or have legal counsel do so for you.

Is it possible that the case is closed or has prescribed?
