Default OBSTRUCTING A PO

I was arrested for allegedly obstructing a PO and spent the night in jail (processing time). Upon release (OR), I was given a court date but nothing has been processed by the DA as of yet. I spoke with their office today and they told me that they are approximately 2 months behind in reviewing misdemeanor cases. Should I wait until a court date is assigned or show up to court on the date assigned upon my release? I ask as I live in CA and the charge is in NV.

Unless you receive something in writing saying otherwise you must be there on any date that is scheduled. Call the clerk of the court asap.
