Pennsylvania - Need to file a motion to reduce sentence
Male is serving a 30 year sentence for drug crimes committed in Virginia and has served 10 years so far in Loretto PA but has been promised a reduction in sentencing for testifying for the court twice. A motion of reduction needs to be filed but the lawyer we are working with will not cooperate what do we need to do?

I wish to inform you that you can file a motion for reduction of sentence with the court which gave the sentence to the person. In this, the lawyer can be changed at the discretion of the person. He may inform the court of the decision to change the lawyer. Further, either he can self represent himself or can approach legal aid. He can even request the Judge for a change of lawyer.
