Charged with Petty Theft
I was recently charged with petty theft and I have a arraignment scheduled. What can I expect to happen at the arraignment. Is it possible to ask for community service instead of paying a fine. I want to get this over with and put it behind. Can I get sentenced on the same day or do I have to return for another hearing. I don't have a lawyer and I hope someone can advise me on what to do.
