My brother was arrested for P.I. and sat in jail overnight. In arraignment, he plead not guilty.
On the ticket, it states that it's a city ordinance. Does that mean it stays off his record? (civil offense, correct?) Also, he doesn't really care to fight it. What motion should he file? Time Credit? |

It could still be a criminal offense. Get a professional opinion and frankly no matter what it is best to attend court and resolve--you don't want it somehow to escalate accidentally.
