Confused can I speak to the County Attorney

Before the court date can I go to the County Attorney and speak to him about a plea in a fraud case, so it doesn't have to go to court and how do I do that? Call and make an appointment with him ?
Also, With a 609.621 subd. 2 (1) w/ reference. t subd.3 (a) ( 1) (iii) charge what should I expect to get on this it time offense? ( and I have a very clean record, never even a traffic ticket)

Thank You

You can but it is much more preferable and effective to have legal counsel do so.

I did speak to an Attorney yesterday on a consultation basis, should he make this call before court on Monday and if so why did he not suggest it?
Also what kind plea bargain can I hope . ( as asked above, I am so scared and wouldn't mind another opinion ) Of course, not only am I terribly embarrassed, I'm not wanting to walk into that court room (alone) for the inevitable arraignment,(Correct?) so any advice would be Heaven sent, as far as I am concerned.

Thank You so much for your answers !!

The lawyer normally has to be formally representing you in the case to negotiate with the DA.

I have spoken to the DA and he really wouldn't tell me much, except that if I enter a guilty plea he will leave it up to the judge/court to determine sentencing. What does this mean ,,that he's not willing to work with me in negotiating this down to a lesser charge ?

Or........... did I not ask him the right question? shuld I have asked him if he would be willing t offer me the deferred program specifically? He also said that my clean record worked in my favor. so.... again I ask, What can I expect?

Thank U much !!

he can agree a recommendation that he will make; you may want to ask him to agree something
