still win a civil case against the cop? Say you were stuck in jail for months for a crime you did not commit and the DA would not go off a guilty plea, you had no choice but to plead guilty. The county kept postponing the hearings and it was another 6-8 weeks until a court another hearing. The state took forever to get the discovery, we had to demand it several times. The cop was supoened for a deposition but did not show up or call. I was under distress and had to get out to provide for my family (wife and 2 kids). We were on the verge of losing the house. They would not offer bond b/c it was a VOP. You were offered to go to trial but threatened if you didn't win, you would pay. The cop lied and did not investigate just arrested you. The guilty person came forth and they still didn't drop the charges. Is there still a chance to win a lawsuit against the cop in civil court? I have the video prooving that the cop didn't see me and also I have the guilty person who did the crime admit. They also did a sworn deposition on the guilty person and he opted not to have an attorney. The cop is lying by saying he never lost contact, but the video clearly shows it!
