The attorney scheduled a deposition to speak to the cop. He didn't show up. She feels this is a very important part to the case. So, what happens now?

Just to add, the lawyer also tried to get the cop on the phone 2 weeks ago and he would not return her calls.

The officer may now be in contempt and the lawyer can ask the court to take action, or a motion to show cause why he failed to show.

The attorney said they have to reschedule. To me, a subpoena should be treated the same way for a cop. If he doesn't show, he should be punished for it.

The attorney said he has 5 days to show up in front of the judge with a damn good reason. If not or he doesn't show, he will be held in contempt of the court and will be arrested.

The judge if he wishes can punish the cop for not showing.
