plzz help, bunch of questions!

ok, try to make this simple as i can, 2 weeks ago due to a verbal threat, me and my fiance did a fake perscription of narcotics for a couple who claimed they were "dope sick" and if i did not follow through, i would end up like my stepdad who was murdered 2 yrs ago, so we did it, because we have 2 kids and were scared to even go to police because they never believe you! well i got released on bail and my attorney is getting me probation but....my fiance has a record, he has 6 felonies from being set up by a CI 3 yrs ago and also 3 misdaminors and they warned him if he messed up again, he was lookin to max out in state for a min of 5 yrs!! now he is scared and his public defender wants to hang him instead of help, should we hire a real attorney? he has been in state intermidiate punishment programs like SPHS, and gateway, and rehabs, even on house arrest twice, he needs help adapting to society and learning how to stay away from all people places and things and so do i, but from expierience in jail, jail makes you worse, now the cops wanna plea with him and make him snitch, will they be at the preliminary because they have him convinced that is the only way he is staying out of jail bc of his background..and he wants to do it, the courthouse judge said its up to magistrate to determine the outcome of his sentencing...i am sooo scared, is there any help for him because we have both been clean for over 2 yrs, he has completed all programs and we had a great future planned till we got mixed up w/ the wrong ppl! can programs be offered back to him or is the plea the only way out??

You absolutely need to get the money together and hire senior experienced highly-respected counsel.

Frankly the stakes are very high. The PD unfortunately will not do the job you need here in most instances.
