Hi there. I had been surfing the internet when I ran across your site and a
question came to me that I was hoping someone could help me with. This past weekend, I was out of town staying at a friends place. Earlier in the day, at about 1 or 2 PM, I consumed three beer after which my friends and I went to eat. At about 6 o\'clock, I finished another three beer and consumed a few slice of delivery pizza during this time. After this, we drove (I rode) to a hockey rink to watch the state championship game. After the 2nd period, I quickly ran out to my car to simply see if I had any cough drops or cough suppressing liquids, as I had not been feeling the greatest. It turns out I didn't, so I ran back inside because it was so cold out. I think my running might have set off an alarm with the authorities in the building. With about 7 minutes left in the third period of the final game (which puts the clock at just a few ticks after 9 o'clock), I ran up the steps to go to the bathroom because I had to go severely bad. The officer grabbed me and asked me if he could ask me a few questions really quick and I then asked him if I could stop in the bathroom first. He said that he could smell alcohol on me but if that's the case I don't agree with how he went about things. I never admitted to drinking, I was never subjected to a blood test, I never took a breathalyzer, and I was most certainly never seen with an alcoholic drink in my hand. Simply because I wanted to talk to someone before saying anything to the police, I held my silence and let them do what they did in writing the ticket which ended up being a Minor in Possession and Minor in Consumption. End of the story: I live in North Dakota, I'm 18 years old. I've NEVER been in trouble before aside from running a stop sign when I was 16 or something. Is there any way that I would be able to get out of this, especially when they have absolutely no proof of what they're claiming? Thanks for any and all answers |
