i was charged with poss of a deadly weapon(billy club)i did not want to plea guilty because i feel that i had a right to protect myself from this person who has stocked and attacked me several times before and after i pled guilty. what i had was not a billy club it was a pool stick that this person hit me with.so i put it in my car trunk and when stopped a few days later they (thecops)arrested and charged me with poss of a dangerous weapon.i want to with draw my plea and was wondering if i can? i have a public defender and she seems like shes on the other team (da)

It is not easy to do now.
You need to show the judge you fundamentally did not understand what was happening or something of a similar nature. You may and should discuss with your lawyer as well firstly. It can be done if done quickly but unfortunately there are no guarantees once you have accepted the plea. |
