I was just wondering what kind of sentencing a person should get if they are charged with: assault with a dangerous weapon and for discharging a weapon that caused death.

My child's father's cousin is facing these charges and I just want to know if he'll be going away for a long time. I'm just a worried mother trying to protect her child. I tried searching the charges on the internet but couldn't find anything. Any information would be helpful...

Well the story finally hit the newspaper. It looks like he's facing up to thirty years in felonys and a few misdemeanors. Plus he has other charges from the DNR for 6 illegal deer, out of season. The only problem is he's a nark, so I don't think he'll get the book thrown at him!
