Confused Grand Larceny in West Virginia. Can I get this plead down?

I have been charged with grand larceny, the amount $3,998.00 I am not the one who took the money, but the person who did snitched on me, and they are charging me with it. Can I get this plead down or something? I don't have a criminal record, and I am wanting to get back in the military. I have a public defender, but he doesn't seem to care that much. Do you think I can get probation, or a suspended sentence? Or will it be jail time? I have a 4 yr old and a 7 month old daughter too. I live in WV.

[I am not the one who took the money, but the person who did snitched on me,]

Shouldn't the evidence show this eventually?

And have you told the police what really happened?

I sure hope it does. I told the detective who arrested me to get the surveillance tapes and view them, but hasn't, so Im guessing he is not going too. I told the detective and my attorney everything that happen, but neither one have told me the likelyhood of no jail time.

Money was stolen, from Krogers Gas Station. The detective didn't tell me how it appears it was done, or anything.

That should be on film somewhere; and if it exonerates you, they must present that information.

The lawyer should get all tapes...
