I'm charged with Petit Larceny. I have no criminal record.

i am 17 years old and live near rochester NY. i am charged with petit larcrny. I stole three bottles on medacine costing a total of about 11 dollars. they fliped out and called the cops and now i have to go to court in 2 weeks. i got aressted but was never read my rights. i was a gentalman the whole time and complyed to every thing. i have no criminal record. i live in a small town so im not sure if the town court will be any easyer or harder on me because of that.

what scould i do(legaly, and how to i get a lawyer(an appointed one, i dont have money to pay for one))?

and whut punishment will i probley resive?

Make sure you get legal counsel (or at least the public defender) to try to keep this off your record eventually--jail time is not likely if your record is clear now. But having that arrest and/or a conviction on your record could make job-hunting etc. more difficult. Often this could be negotiated down to some kind of court supervision or even be dismissed etc.

I'm 42 years old, now been arrest and i arrest for larency $380.00, how do i get this off my police record.
