Default How many times can the state postpone a case

I'm in FL and my husband was accused of a felony. How long can it go on before the case gets dismissed. From what I understand, they keep postponing it because of lack of evidence? I heard 3-6 mo. Does anyone know the exact procedure?

You can ask the judge to dismiss it at any time if you feel the delay is unjustified. Have your counsel act asap.

It's interesting you should ask that. I'm facing a potential 18 month prison sentence on a "deputy dawg/imposter beef". I have finally recieved statements from both witnesses in the case which were withheld for over 4 months. It was done on purpose so that the authorities could play a game of poker and pretend to have something that they didn't have in conjuction with other slimey tactics to bully be into confessing to the charge (not to mention the fact that it got postponed as many as six or more times; which is the topic of this thread). I know this because a.) not only do the two statements have the same preposterous story but it's actually even less believable, and b.) the statements are both dated the same day as the discovery. Which brings me to the 64,000 thousand dollar question-CAN THEY DO THAT ???.

And I made sure that it was a matter of record with the court that I was given the same incomplete copy of the dicovery twice !!!
