Charged with Public Intoxication after car crash
Hi my girlfriend recently wrecked her car on the way home. This was a single car accident and there were no witnesses. she lost control of her vehicle and skidded head first into the concrete divider on the highway. she wasnt hurt and was out of the car when the police arrived. upon inspection they charged her with traffic offenses, did not perform any alcohol/drug related sobriety tests, and arrested her for Public Intoxication.
my question is will the police accident report list the public intoxication in it or not? will we have to tell our insurance company that she was arrested for PI? in all likely hood the PI will be dropped because this happened in dallas county. the reason the police didnt charge her with dwi/dui is they said no one could put her behind the wheel at the time of the accident even though they knew she was driving and she even admitted she was. |

sorry meant to say they DIDNT charge her with anyting except a PI. no other tickets. |
