Confused Suspended twice for same thing? -- Pennsylvania

State: Pennsylvania

Got a speeding ticket around the 23rd of december of 06. Payed a $200 fine; Payed a $25 Restoration fee; Served 25 Day suspension. Months later I recieve a letter stating I have to attend a departimental hearing. I go to the hearing and I\'m told I have to serve another 15 day suspension, and pay another $25 restoration fee. I was being told that the guy didnt believe me that my 25 day suspension was for that ticket and that if it was that it was given to me by the DMV. Now the state is giving me another 15 days... Now, the DMV is a state ran department? Even if not, wouldnt that be double jeopardy or something? I\'m being disciplined twice for the same thing. I know its nothing big, but that\'s the same thing as saying to a murderer that just got outta jail, \"you\'ve been punished for killing so and so by the city of blah, and now your going back to jail for another 20 years because the state of so and so is giving you another 20 years!\"

Thanks ahead of time,
Justin

Something seems not correct there. Ask the the local prosecutor or even the judge to explain. That normally should not be happening for the same ticket.
